South Central Truck & Bus customers had the opportunity to be among the first to get behind the wheel of the all-new UD Condor, taking part in our recent Customer Drive Event showcasing the next generation of medium-duty trucks.
The event gave customers early access to the Condor, allowing them to experience its refined performance, active safety features and enhanced driver comfort firsthand. Bringing together customers, UD Trucks Australia representatives and our expert sales teams, for an afternoon centred around real-world driving and genuine feedback.
From the moment they arrived, guests were welcomed by the team and invited to enjoy light refreshments while learning more about the new model. Conversations quickly turned to the Condor’s latest innovations, setting the scene before customers stepped into the cab themselves.

Once on the road, customers experienced the Condor’s smooth Allison automatic transmission, responsive handling and well-balanced performance. Many commented on how intuitive and comfortable the truck felt to drive, with the ergonomic cabin layout and ISRI seating making a strong impression.
Early feedback was overwhelmingly positive, particularly around drivability, with customers recognising the Condor as a significant step forward in the medium-duty segment. Safety features also stood out, including Lane Departure Warning, Advanced Emergency Braking, Adaptive Driving Beam and dual airbags - designed to support both drivers and the businesses they operate in. Walkaround sessions gave customers a closer look at the Condor’s exterior upgrades, from improved cooling and aerodynamics to modern lighting designed for better visibility and efficiency.
Powered by the DB6A 6.7L inline six-cylinder Euro 6 turbo-diesel engine and paired with a fully automatic Allison transmission, the Condor delivers consistent, reliable performance across a range of applications. With 4x2, 6x2 and 6x4 configurations available, it is well suited to industries such as construction, waste management, industrial work and general freight.
