Theo Agelis Construction is a family owned, South Australian business that has been in the construction sector for more than 40 years. With Shane joining his father Theo in 2005, the business has gone to unbelievable lengths and the team continue to pride themselves on their dedication and commitment. Now with 40 staff, and a number of local contractors, Theo Agelis Construction primarily works in residential concrete footings or foundations for many residential homes across South Australia.
It has been a pleasure for Jason Templer, South Central Truck & Bus Senior Sales Consultant, to have the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with Shane since they purchased their first Volvo FM in 2014. It has been fantastic to see Shane and his team build Theo Agelis Construction in South Australia, with the team now operating over eight Volvo Trucks, including prime movers, tandem tippers and beaver tail applications. These particular Volvo Trucks have been fully wrapped in custom Theo Agelis Construction signage, which we’re sure you’ll see from a mile away and are used to cart supplies, such as demo waste, dirt, steel and machinery, in and out of constructions sites.

Over the last six years, Shane has seen first hand how much Volvo Trucks have advanced in technology, in particular their safety features.
“It is great to see how far Volvo have come in their safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping support, driver alert support and lane changing support, just to name a few. What’s an even better bonus is that it is standard across the range. I feel confident in the larger team we have, that they are in safe hands whilst in a Volvo,” says Shane.
With their fleet predominantly consisting of Volvo FMs and one FE, the Volvo product is perfect for Theo Agelis Construction as they are able to configure the truck anyway they need to get the job done.
“What I particularly like about the Volvo FM and FE is the size - it is not too big or too small. It has the right amount of power and does the job comfortably,” Shane explains.
As a business owner, Shane also understands how important it is to have the right amount of support in business. “Over the last six years I have worked with Jason from South Central Truck & Bus and his service is second to none. Jason always gets back to me in a timely manner on any questions and always has the attitude to go above and beyond,” Shane explains.
Having a good relationship and rapport with Shane, and also working closely with Ryan and Sandy from Theo Agelis Construction, has enabled Jason and the South Central Truck & Bus team to build a specification that fits many aspects of their business.
“It is great to see how passionate and dedicated to the business Shane’s team is. It ensures they get the best outcome every time,” says Jason.
